This kit includes three shims; each measuring 0.010, 0.015, and 0.020 in thickness. For use with 1996-newer 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L, and 7.4L Vortec crankshaft position sensors. Engines with high mileage may have excessive crankshaft bearing wear, causing the crankshaft reluctor to not spin concentrically. In some cases, the crankshaft position sensor must be shimmed away from the crankshaft reluctor for proper crankshaft signal. A minimum of 0.030" air gap is recommended by sensor manufacturer. Will also fit the GM Gen IV LS-Series camshaft position sensor.
