"What's the difference between 24x and 58x systems?"
Our 24x system works with all GM Gen III PCMs (LS1, LS6, etc) and our 58x system works with all GM Gen IV ECMs/TCMs (LS3, LS7, etc).Unless your project requires a 6L80E or 6L90E automatic transmission, our 24x system is probably best suited toward your application. You will find more tuners who are willing to work with the Gen III PCM than with the Gen IV ECM/TCM. Which system should you use? We will advise you to use our 24x system rather than our 58x system.

"My specific vehicle is not listed. What will a 58x system cost me?"
The Gen IV GM ECMs (58x) communicate with the instrument panel via CAN (controller area network). For this reason, we do not make a specific plug and play engine harness for early vehicles. All EFI Connection 58x engine harnesses are considered "stand alone" or "street rod" type harnesses that will require hookups for ignition, battery, ground, fuel pump, VSS output, tach output, etc. for engine operation.

"What else will I need? Is this everything?"
You will need new spark plug wires or shorten your existing wires using LS coil 45 degree boots & terminals (MSD 3304) and spark plug terminal crimp tool (MSD 35051). LS1 and LS Truck wires will probably be too short. You'll need a tuner; preferably a local tuner with a chassis dyno.

Components to equip your engine with crank/cam signals for the GM Gen IV ECM (REQUIRED)
Includes 58x crank reluctor, crank sensor, and 4x cam sync distributor.
$575.00 Early/Late SBC
$625.00 Gen VI BBC (does not fit Mark IV BBC)

Ignition Coils (REQUIRED)
$515.00 SBC LS2 Coil Bracket Assemblies (brackets, coils, coil harnesses, and attaching hardware)
$650.00 BBC LS1 Coils/Harness Equipped Valve Covers
$200.00 LS2 Coils - Set of 8 (coils only)
$265.00 LS2 Coils and Connector Pigtails
I will supply my own coils and mounting brackets

Engine Control Module (REQUIRED)
GM Gen IV ECMs and TCMs require a full flash from the GM dealership before your tuner can customize the calibration for your engine. Without a GM flash, the new or used ECM/TCM will not contain the proper calibration segments. As an example, if you were to pull a used E38 ECM from a wrecked 2008 Impala and intend to use a 2008 Corvette calibration, a full flash with EFILive or HP Tuners will not replace all calibration segments (like electronic throttle, etc). EFI Connection has GM service department programming capabilities and can load the latest GM calibration into your ECM or TCM. EFI Connection does not offer custom calibrations.
$200.00 Used E38 ECM (Loaded with latest, stock, GM calibration of your choice)
$50.00 I will send my E38 ECM to EFI Connection, with provided VIN, for the latest GM calibration for my application
I will supply my own ECM

Transmission Control Module (OPTIONAL)
$150.00 Used T42 TCM (Loaded with latest, stock, GM calibration of your choice)
$50.00 I will send my T42 TCM to EFI Connection, with provided VIN, for the latest GM calibration for my application
I will supply my own TCM or don't require a TCM (non-electronic automatic or manual transmission)
