Introducing EFI Connection's 24x System
EFI Connection's 24x system brings any 1997-2006 LS1/LS6 type engine control module to early/late Small-Block Chevy, late 7.4L Big-Block Chevy, and LT1/LT4 engines. These engines can now receive coil per cylinder ignition, use 4L60E and 4L80E automatic transmissions, T56 six-speed manual transmission reverse lockout feature, cable driven throttle bodies or electonic drive-by-wire throttle bodies.

The Gen III LSx PCMs are POWERFUL engine controllers that can be tuned by most dyno facilities and with popular tuning software like EFILive, HP Tuners, TunerCat OBDII, and LS1Edit. With 2 BAR and 3 BAR forced induction support, nitrous control, real-time tuning support, and advanced data logging, the LS1 PCM has more to offer than most aftermarket ECUs!

* 24x system is not available for Mark IV and Gen V Big-Block Chevy engines. We are working on this system in 2010, but do not have an estimated availability date or estimated pricing. These engines will require a new oil pan and oil pan seal that do not currently exist.

It's All About The LS1 PCM
We firmly believe the LS1 PCM will go down in history as the best engine control module for any GM V8 engine. Because of tuning packages like EFILive and HP Tuners, the LS1 PCM runs circles around the capabilities of some aftermarket ECUs.

Do you need to support a high horsepower engine?
No problem. The LS1 PCM is being used on 1,000+ hp engines.

Do you need performance and drivability?
Proven. The LS1 PCM delivers a powerful and tame engine on the street.

LS2 Ignition Coil Bracket Assemblies
Our LS2 ignition coil bracket assemblies are designed to be used with SBC/LT1 center bolt valve covers. They clear PCV, breather, oil fill, and LT1 alternators. These coil brackets accept only GM# 12573190 coils. They will not accept other LS coils because the mounting holes are different among the variety of LSx coils. Because these brackets do not fit all SBC engines (fit center bolt valve covers only), they are not included with base price packages.

Assemblies include two brackets, 8 coils, two coil harnesses, and attaching hardware.

The following items are OPTIONAL UPGRADES for our 24x system and are not included with base price packages.
TPI/LT1 Electronic Throttle Bodies
(Requires LS1/LS6 Corvette TAC Module)
Billet SBC Timing Cover
(Early/Late/Vortec SBC)
Billet LT1/LT4 Timing Cover
(WITHOUT Water Pump Drive)

LS1 Fuel Management for LT1 and LT4 Engines
EFI Connection resolves the ignition system problems of the LT1 engine by offering LS fuel management to all LT1 and LT4 engines.

Our 24x system is installed within and surrounding the production GM 1996-97 LT1 timing cover and completely replaces the optispark distributor.

Now, LT1 engines can be properly tuned for forced induction using the LS1 PCM and popular tuning software packages like EFILive and HP Tuners.

Forever gone are the ignition system woes of the LT1 engine!

24x Starter Calibrations
The following calibrations are to be used at your own risk. EFI Connection, LLC assumes no liability for the use or misuse of these files.

The calibrations available for download below are the latest GM calibrations for the vehicles listed. The only change to each calibration is the reassignment of injectors to banks for proper closed loop fuel trims. This is required because the early SBC, LT1/LT4, and BBC engines have a different firing order than an LS1 engine. Actual firing order corrections are handled within every EFI Connection wiring harness by swapping injectors/coils 2 & 3 and 7 & 4 at the PCM connectors.

"I've downloaded one of the files above. What do I have to do to finish the calibration?"
At this point, you (or your tuner) can tune the PCM just like you would tune an LS1 engine! Here are a few tips to keep in mind...
  • Set the fuel injector flow rate for your injector size. Engines with a vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator will have a constant fuel flow rate across the MAP (kPa) range. Engines without a vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator will have sloping fuel flow rate values across the MAP (kPa) range.
  • Load your preferred spark table(s), fuel table(s), and mass air flow table.
  • Disable Vehicle Anti Theft (VATS).
  • Turn the ignition key and begin tuning using a wideband 02 (and preferrably a chassis dyno).
  • Just as there are many different engine configurations, there are many calibration values that can be changed to best suit the way you want your engine to run. Please refer to your tuner or your tuning software manufacturer for more details about dialing in your engine/transmission.

EFI Connection, LLC does NOT...
  • own and cannot provide LS1Edit calibration files
  • own and cannot provide JET Dynamic Spectrum calibration files
  • offer custom calibration files (except for the files listed above)
  • have time to teach you how to tune your engine by either phone or email

Please do not ask us to provide a custom calibration file for your vehicle. For best results, please work with a local tuner who has access to a wideband O2 sensor (and preferrably a chassis dyno). EFI Connection is a wire harness shop and not a dyno facility. We do not have a library of spark and fuel maps for custom calibrations.
